Stenurella melanura (Linnaeus, 1758)
This is a rare longhorn beetle in Nottinghamshire, with few modern records from around the county. There are records from Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust reserves at Farndon Willow Holt and Treswell Wood in 2003 (neither of which have disappointingly ever made their way onto the NBN Atlas) and from a Carlton garden in 2011 (Dutton, A.). More recent records have come from Ollerton Pit Woods in July 2021, and Clipstone Old Quarter where a female was recorded in June 2025, with at least eight on one day at the same site in June 2026 (all Pendleton, T.A.).
