Sphaerophoria rueppellii (Wiedemann, 1830)
A fairly widespread Hoverfly over much of the UK, but seemingly uncommon in Nottinghamshire. We are aware of just a coup;le of records, including the one below, which was photographed by Peter Smith at Netherfield Ash Lagoons in May 2019.
