Sphaerophoria interrupta
This male S. interrupta was photographed at Mill Lane Eakring, in mid-July 2006 and found to be a very common species in the area. Sphaerophoria hoverflies are distinctive as a genus, but species determination is often extremely difficult without examination of the genitalia.
