Sitona
puncticollis has a fairly widespread distribution across
much of the southern-half of the UK. As is often the
case, there is very little information on this beetles'
Nottinghamshire status, but there is certainly an
historical record from Sherwood Forest. There seem to be
no modern records, so the one found and photographed by
Tim Sexton at Attenborough NR in August 2016, may well be
the first record for VC56 (Nottinghamshire) in many
years. Once again, our thanks go to Tim for allowing us
to use his photographs. |
