Siphona cristata (Fabricius, 1805)
This is yet another rarely recorded Tachinid fly in Nottinghamshire, but was recorded on a number of occasions at Netherfield Lagoons by Peter Smith over the course of 2020. The NBN Atlas lists just a single historical record for Nottinghamshire from 1912, but Siphona cristata is probably more widespread than it appears. Thanks go to Peter for allowing use of his photographs here.
