Scydmaenus tarsatus (Müller, P.W.J. & Kunze, 1822)
Another Scydmaenus species with very few Nottinghamshire records. There appear to be no recent records listed on the NBN Atlas, but Scydmaenus tarsatus is generally regarded as the most likely of them to turn up. It was still a surprise when this very small species turned up on two occasions at Market Warsop Cemetery, the first in a leaf litter sample on 21/02/20 and in a fresh woodchip sample with developing fungal mycelium on 26/04/20.
