Scaphidema metallicum (Fabricius, 1792)
This beetle seems quite rare and restricted in Nottinghamshire, with at least three records from the typical parkland habitat associated with Scaphidema metallicum at Clumber Park in 1984 and 1991 and an isolated record from the north-east of the county, from the Treswell/Cottam area in 2016 (Barnes, C. and Lee, P.). There are also several records from the lower reaches of the Trent Valley in Nottinghamshire, with records (three) from Shelford in 1998 and again in 2007 (Dutton, A.) and from East Bridgeford in 2010 (Dutton, A.).

The example illustrated was also found at Clumber Park by Nick and Samantha Brownley, tucked within the dead wood of a fallen branch. Thanks go to Nick and Samantha, for kindly providing the specimen for photographing.
