Saprinus semistriatus
(Scriba, L.G., 1790) |
||
| There are very few records of this small species from Nottinghamshire, but this is perhaps not entirely surprising, considering it frequents the carcasses of birds or mammals, or is occasionally recorded in dung. It was found in the Sherwood Forest CP in 2006 (Dutton, A. and Dutton, C.) and again more recently, from probable Fox droppings at Clumber Park in June 2026 (Brownley, N. and Brownley, S.). | ||
