Most of the county's Rugilus Rove Beetles are notable for at
least allowing the photographer the chance to get photographs, something
that cannot be said for most other species. Rugilus angustatus
is a striking species and in terms of Nottinghamshire records, is quite
rare. There are recent records from wetland sites near Rainworth
and on the former Calverton colliery site
(Brownley, N. and Brownley, S.) and
Stoke Bardolph along the River Trent (Dutton,
A.). where it often occurs in Bulrush litter and similar
material. |
