Rhinoncus inconspectus (Herbst, 1795)
Found on the Knot-weed Persicaria amphibia, this Weevil can be found resting at the joint of leaf and stem, especially near the top of the plant. There are several records from wetland sites in the northern-half of Nottinghamshire, including both River Idle and Trent Valleys. Our only rrecord of Rhinoncus inconspectus to date, is from the site of the former Bilsthorpe Pit Top in late July 2017.
