Ramphus pulicarius (Herbst, 1795)
Widely distributed over much of the UK, this tiny Weevil is most likely to be encountered in the larval stage, as leafmines on Birch. There are usually several mines to a leaf and mines can be found on other trees/shribs such as Sallows and Poplars. Photographed at Clumber Park in October 2011.
