Ptychoptera albimana (Fabricius, 1787)
Probably fairly widespread at many sites across Nottinghamshire, yet there are relatively few recent records. Ptychoptera albimana and other members of the genus resemble small Crane Flies, but actually belong to the family Ptychopteridae. There are similar species, so this should be borne in mind when making any identification.
