Proteinus brachypterus (Fabricius, 1792)
One of many small Staphylinidae found within Nottinghamshire, there are relatively few published records from the county. It has been recorded on a number of occasions from Sherwood Forest, from Bunny Old Wood and near Rainworth Heath in 2026 and is probably far more widespread than has been recorded.
