Pogonocherus fasciculatus (De Geer, 1775)
Generally a longhorn of Pine forested areas of the UK, mostly in Scotland and north-eastern England, with clusters of records coming from Norfolk and across some southern counties. Pogonocherus fasciculatus was recently found new to Nottinghamshire and the Sherwood Forest NNR, by Nick and Samantha Brownley in late August 2024, when two specimens were beaten off Pine on Budby South Forest (upper two photographs). Another was beaten off Pine, very close to the August 2024 record in December 2024.

There are similarities between this species and Nottinghamshire's two other Pogonocherus species (P. hispidus and P. hispidulus), but any Pogonocherus taken off Pine or Spruce are likely to be this species, so specimens should be checked carefully.
