Plinthisus brevipennis (Latreille, 1807)
There are just a few records of this small, black species from Nottinghamshire. One of the reasons for this may be its small size, but the generally southern distribution of Plinthisus brevipennis across the UK, probably makes up the biggest factor. A species of dry grass areas and heathlands, two of these were a surprise find amongst Pine litter in Market Warsop Cemetery in early March 2020.
