Platystoma seminationis (Fabricius, 1775)
An uncommon fly in Nottinghamshire, with the only records we know of coming from Attenborough NR and a Langold garden, where the example illustrated was found and photographed by Pauline Bradford in late June 2016. Platystoma seminationis may well be more widespread in VC56 (Nottinghamshire) but the general lack of interest in the county's Diptera means we know virtually nothing of species distribution.
