Pirapion immune (Kirby, W., 1808)
From the NBN Gateway map, Pirapion immune is rather patchily distributed across the southern counties of the UK and south Wales. In Nottinghamshire, this beetle appears to have gone unrecorded for many years, but there is certainly one historical record from Sherwood Forest. This adult was and photographed at Attenborough NR by Tim Sexton, who once again very kindly provided us with his excellent photographs.
