Large Striped Flea Beetle
Phyllotreta nemorum
(Linnaeus, 1758) |
||
| Probably under recorded to a certain degree in Nottinghamshire and there are the customary 'several similar species' to ensure caution with identification. Found on various Brassicas and can be a pest of certain crops. The ones illustrated (upper photographs) were found on Horse Radish Amoracia rusticana at Wellow Dam in early July 2021, while the ones in the lower photographs, turned up in a leaf litter sample from Lowdham Church in January 2026. Phyllotreta nemorum has a rather patchy distribution over southern parts of the UK. | ||
