Phratora vitellinae (Linnaeus, 1758)
Despite being found widely across much of the UK, in Nottinghamshire, records of Phratora vitellinae (sometimes called the Brassy Willow Beetle for obvious reasons) appear to be somewhat scarce and there are few records from the adjacent counties of Lincolnshire and parts of Yorkshire too. A the name wouls suggest, this beetle can be found on Willows and Poplars of various types. The one illustrated, was found at Haughton near Walesby, by Nick and Samantha Brownley  in June 2026.
