Pelenomus comari (Herbst, 1795)
The discovery of the Weevil Pelenomus comari (UK status is presently Nationally notable B), at Attenborough NR by Tim Sexton in April 2017, looks set to have provided Nottinghamshire with only it's second ever record of the beetle. Tim swept the specimen below, from an area with predominately Meadow Cranesbill, Knotweed sp and Purple Loosestrife and kindly provided us with the photographs to illustrate the record.
