Oxystoma subulatum (Kirby, 1808)
A small dark Weevil which can be found on Meadow Vetchling (Lathyrus pratensis) by careful hand searching of the foliage and flowers. Oxystoma subulatum appears to have an interesting and confined range in Nottinghamshire, with all the records we have coming from the south-west of VC56. Tim Sexton found this one at Attenborough NR in late July 2016 and once again, kindly provided us with the following photographs.
