Nysius senecionis (Schilling, 1829)
Currently scarce in Nottinghamshire, but this is without doubt due to lack of recording and taking the time to identify small bugs like Nysius, which can all be difficult at the best of times. Nysius senecionis only arrived in the UK as recently as 1992 and the first record for VC56 Nottinghamshire seems to be from Budby South Forest in September 2020 (Flanagan, J.). The one illustrated was found by sweeping Scentless Mayweed in a weedy corner of an Onion field at Edwinstowe in August 2021.
