Norellisoma spinimanum (Fallén, 1819)
Superficially similar to most other Scathophagidae, The two rows of spines on the front tibia of Norellisoma spinimanum help this species to be identified from some photographs. We know of records from Attenborough NR and Netherfield Ash Lagoons and recently recorded it ourselves (April 2017) from Haywood Oaks. As with many flies, there are numerous similar species which usually require a specimen to determine to species level.
