Necrobia ruficollis (Fabricius, 1775)
There appears to be just two recent records of Necrobia ruficollis from Nottinghamshire. Usually found on carrion, in food storage areas and similar locations, there are records of a specimen being found on a dead gull at Hoveringham in 2003 (Dutton, A.) and several being taken from further down the Trent Valley, at Stoke Bardolph in 2023 (Brownley, N. and Brownley, S.).
