Nargus velox (Spence, 1813)
Nargus velox is one of those little recorded species, possibly because this and other Cholevids are difficult to ientify and so left alone. They're not exactly an exciting lot, but the small size and inconspicuous nature of this beetle, could mean it is just under-recorded. The one illustrated, turned up in a leaf litter sample, taken from the foot of an old Oak at Clipstone Old Quarter in early April 2020.
