Luperus longicornis (Fabricius, 1781) 
TA beetle with a predominantly western distribution in the UK and along the south coast up to Norfolk. There are relatively few records from most Midlands counties and just three records (as far as have been published) from Nottinghamshire. Just one of the three Nottinghamshire records is modern, coming from Rainworth Heath NR in 2003 and where the beetle is still to be found by beating scrub Birch growing in a boggy section of heathland..
