Longitarsus jacobaeae (Waterhouse, G.R., 1858)
Found on Ragwort, there seem to be few Nottinghamshire records of this small Flea Beetle. Longitarsus jacobaeae was already known historically from the Sherwood Forest area, before we recorded the one in the photographs at Sherwood Heath SSSI in early September 2017. There are several similar species that are found on Ragwort (Senecio sp) so identification is not easy without a specimen.
