Leptinus testaceus (Müller, P.W.J., 1817)
This seems to be another small and rare beetle in Nottinghamshire. Indeed, at the time of writing, there appear to be no previous county records of this incredibly active beetle, which proved more difficult to get a photograph of, than most other species illustrated on this website. The one illustrated, turned up in a leaf litter sample, one of several taken from underneath a group of mature Beeches at Cuckney in late March and early April 2023 (Pendleton, T.A.).
