Leptacinus pusillus (Stephens, 1833) 
A Staphylinid (Rove Beetle) with a patchy UK distribution largely restricted to south-eastern counties, East Anglia and the southern Midlands.There are at least three Nottinghamshire records, including the one illustrated which turned up in a leaf litter sample taken from Sherwood Forest CP in May 2020. Other recent county records include from the Nottingham Trent University's Brackenhurst Campus in October 2017 (Heeney, W.) and from the Grantham Canal at Owthorpe in 2002 (Merritt, B.).
