Kyklioacalles roboris (Curtis, 1835)
A rare weevil in Nottinghamshire, possibly partly down to its small size? There are three traceable Nottinghamshire records, from the Sherwood Forest CP in 2002 (Denton, M.L. et al) from Nottingham in 2015 (Telfer, M.) and from Lound Wood in April 2023 (Pendleton, T.A.), when one turned up in a leaf litter sample taken from the base of an Oak. Kyklioacalles roboris is very similar at first glance to Acalles misellus, so care has to be taken with identification.
