Hydrotaea ignava (Harris, [1780])
Hydrotaea ignava is another under-recorded fly in modern-day Nottinghamshire, but there are numerous historical records. The difficulties in Diptera identification mean that Flies remain very much neglected. The female photographed, was recorded in our garden at Market Warsop in early July 2017.
