Graptus triguttatus (Fabricius, 1775)
This large Weevil was found on a disused railway line at Market Warsop in early May 2014. Graptus triguttatus is a distinctively marked species, which is associated with Ribwort Plantain (Plantago lanceolata). Like many other beetles, the Nottinghamshire status of this Weevil is unclear. There is a historical record from an unknown location between Nottingham and Mansfield on the NBN Gateway and J.W. Carr lists lists records from South Leverton, Nottingham and Barton-in-Fabis.
