Broom Leaf Beetle Gonioctena olivacea (Forster, 1771)
Seemingly unknown (even historically) in Nottinghamshire, until we found them to be common on Broom (Cytisus scoparius) in the car park of Manton Pit Wood at Worksop in early July 2017. More often known as the Broom Leaf Beetle, Gonioctena olivacea has a rather patchy distribution across the UK, with many central counties of the UK having no records.
