Eristalis arbustorum (Linnaeus, 1758)
A common Hoverfly, which is sometimes found in gardens. Slightly smaller and more compact than the other common Eristalis species, identification is often down to the white face on Eristalis arbustorum. The abdominal markings and colouration, can vary considerably between individuals.
