Dilophus
femoratus (Meigen, 1804) |

The NBN Atlas and J.W. Carr's "Invertebrate Fauna of Nottinghamshire" both quote a wealth of historical records of Dilophus femoratus from Nottinghamshire, dating from before World War II. Once again, there appear to be few recent records, but this should be a fairly common and widespread Bibionid, found in many of the county's woodlands and other well vegetated sites. | |||
