Datonychus melanostictus (Marsham, 1802)
Generally widespread over much of the southern UK, with records reaching as far north as Yorkshire. There are Nottinghamshire records from Bentinck Banks in 2007 (Kirby, P.) and Nottingham University's Jubilee Campus in 2008 (Gurney, M.) before the example shown below right, was found and photographed by Tim Sexton at Attenborough NR in 2015. Most recently recorded from the former Warsop Main pit top in 2019 and 2020.
