Cryptolestes duplicatus (Waltl, 1839)
A tiny beetle, measuring little more than 2mm in length. There are few records listed on the NBN Atlas and this is the first record for Nottinghamshire and currently the most northerly in the UK. Found under the bark of deciduous trees, this one was recorded at Sherwood Forest CP in March 2020, on a large fallen limb, where the limb had spliced open on hitting the ground.
