Ceratitis capitata (Weidemann, 1824)
Found in Tim Sexton's Attenborough home during March 2023, this rare UK record of this very attractive Tephritid fly is almost certainly the first record for VC56 Nottinghamshire. Often called the Mediterranean Fruit Fly, this specimen very likely arrived via the importation of fruit.
