Catops fuliginosus (Erichson, 1837)
One of numerous similar beetles, which are only reliably determined by dissection. This Catops fuliginosus was found over-winering under farm rubbish at Holborn Hill Plantation in January 2014. This beetle is also known to occur in the Sherwood Forest area, on just one occasion back in 2002.
