Catapion pubescens (Kirby, W., 1811)
Based on the lack of records on the accompanying distribution map, this is an uncommon Weevil. We only know of records from Annesley Bentinck Colliery in 2007 (Kirby, P.) and Attenborough NR in 2016, where it was found and photographed by reserve manager Tim Sexton. Our thanks go to Tim, for kindly providing the photographs below.
