Carcinops pumilio (Erichson, 1834)
Very few Nottinghamshire records, so must be presumed rare in the county and only seems to occur patchily in some southern counties of the UK. The only records to be found were from Wollaton Hall in 1990 (Wright, S. and Green, C.) from within a sample of horse manure taken from near Inkersall Grange in September 2020 (Pendleton, T.A.) and from a manure heap at Farnsfield in March 2026 (Brownley, N. and Brownley, S.). It's small size (the specimens below measured around 3mm) does mean it could be easily missed within some material samples.
