Atomaria fuscata (Schönherr, 1808
This is a very small species, often turning up in leaf litter samples and one of a number of extremely similar spcies which cannot be identified from photographs alone. There seem to be very few modern records of Atomaria fuscata in Nottinghamshire, but it has been recorded several times from the Sherwood Forest area, but there are recent records from Dyscarr Wood, Treswell Wood and Lambley Cemetery.
