Argyra argyria (Meigen, 1824)
One of a number of Argyra species which have some degree of silvery white dusting and are difficult to identify without a key. There are a number of Argyra argyria records from the southern-half of Nottinghamshire, most of these being attributed to the Dipterist's Forum Weekend in 2015. The one illustrated, was found at Shirebrook Pit Wood in early May 2020.
