Heather Mining Bee Andrena fuscipes (Kirby, 1802)
Very much a species which is restricted to heathland areas of Sherwood Forest. Nottinghamshire's records of Andrena fuscipes all come from localities within Clumber Park, Budby South Forest and one record from the Sherwood Forest CP. A relatively late-flying Andrena, with records predictably (in view of the common name) coinciding with the flowering of Heather in August and September .
