Aleochara bipustulata (Linnaeus, 1761)
One of many similar looking Rove Beetles (Staphylinidae) so identification is not easy. We have just two records of Aleochara bipustulata, with in woodland at Redbrick House near Market Warsop in late November 2014 and seived from Moss at nearby King's Wood in February 2018. It is a parasite of the Cabbage Root Fly larva (Delia radicum) and considered as suitable for use as a biological pest control species in Canada.
