Acericerus ribauti (Nickel & Remane, 2002)
This species was only discovered in the UK as recently as 2007, but it's great similarity to Acericerus vittifrons has made it difficult to tell whether it was previously overlooked here, or is newly arrived. Both Acericerus ribauti and Acericerus vittifrons are found on Sycamore Acer pseudoplatanus and Field Maple Acer campestre. We have recorded it twice in recent years, first at Wellow Wood in 2019 and then at Retford Cemetery in October 2020.
